Die Tatsache, dass in 25 Prozent der Proben kein Levamisol gefunden wurde, könnte nach Einschätzung des Forschungsteams auch auf den Umstand zurückgeführt werden, dass Levamisol nur vier Stunden nach dem Konsum im Urin nachweisbar ist.
In keiner Probe, die negativ auf Kokain getestet wurde, ist Levamisol entdeckt worden. Dies spricht dafür, dass als Quelle von Levamisol tatsächlich ausschließlich illegales Kokain zu nennen ist.
